This stress relief tip is easy, costs nothing and works almost instantly. When you are stressed, your muscles become tense and breathing shallow. Changing the way you breathe will get rid of the stress and tension very quickly. My stress relief tip is do Peace Breathing every time you feel stressed or tense.
I do peace breathing quite often. It is one of the many forms of deep breathing. It can be done anytime and anywhere. You can do it while you are working, cooking, walking or driving. You will feel instantly relaxed and calm. This may be the best stress relief tip you've ever heard!
The process of peace breathing is simple. Here are the steps.
1) Breathe normally but deeply into your belly.
2) As you are inhaling slowly say the word "Peace" to yourself. Imagine you are breathing the word right into your belly.
3) As you exhale you will immediately feel your muscles relax and mind start to calm.
4) Do this for a few minutes or however long it takes to feel more relaxed.
You can use a different word in place of peace if you prefer. Use a word that is soothing to you. It could be "Love", "Rain" or "Tranquil." Instead of breathing into your belly, you may also breathe your word right into the heart.
Try this stress relief tip if you are sitting in traffic or faced with a confrontation. I use it when I am feeling overwhelmed with responsibilities or upset in any way. Peace breathing is so simple and effective it can be used daily. Pass this tip along to your coworkers, friends and family. You will not only be giving them a tool for relieving stress but also a way to improve their health and well-being.

Overcoming Failure
There’s an old Japanese proverb that counsels: “Fall seven times, stand up eight.” But how do you get back up when you’ve fallen flat on your face? Below you’ll find 5 tips to help you gather the pieces and pull yourself back together after you’ve failed.
1. Always expect success. However, you need to get rid of the notion of the “overnight success” or the “get-rich-quick-scheme”. People who appear to be overnight successes have actually spent a lot of time before-hand honing their skill. Success requires a lot of preparation and a prolonged effort. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who feel like failures when something doesn’t work immediately and they just give up. If you don’t succeed right away this doesn’t mean that you’ve failed. Recognize that setbacks are simply part of the process, and that hard work and perseverance are two of the most important ingredients of success. If you’ve failed in the short run it simply means you need to take a longer term view of success.
2. Do not identify yourself with your failures. You are not your actions. To say that you have failed many times is not the same thing as saying that you are a failure. Whatever happens, keep referring to yourself, in your conversations with others and in your self-talk, as someone who has the full capacity to succeed.
3. Create a “fame wall”. Hang your diplomas or certificates on this wall. You can also add framed photographs of yourself with your friends and family having fun or sharing a close moment. Anything that gives you a sense of accomplishment can go up on the wall. In times of failure, refer to your wall. It will serve to remind you that you have succeeded in the past and that you will succeed again in the future
4. Collect stories of failure about people who have gone on to become successful so that you can use them as inspiration when you’re down. For example, consider the following life story.
This person:
At age 22 - Failed in business;
At age 23 – Was defeated for the State Legislature:
At age 24 - Again failed in business;
At age 25 – Was elected to the State Legislature;
At age 26 - His sweetheart died;
At age 27 – He suffered a nervous breakdown;
At age 29 – Was defeated for speaker;
At age 31 – Was defeated for elector;
At age 34 – Was defeated for Congress;
At age 37 – Was elected to Congress;
At age 39 – Was defeated for Congress;
At age 46 – Was defeated for the Senate;
At age 47 – Was defeated for Vice-President;
At age 49 – Was defeated for the Senate;
At age 51 – Was elected President of the United States.
This person was Abraham Lincoln.
5. Keep things in perspective; do not over-generalize. The fact that you’ve failed at something does not mean that your life is over. It does not mean that your reputation is forever ruined and that you’ll never get another chance. Don’t make the situation bigger or more pervasive than it really is. Instead, remember the famous line:
“And this too shall pass . . .”

Motivation...It's All About Attitude
It has been said that there is a fine line between success and failure. When talking about success, I'm not just talking about the so called rich and famous, but about people in all walks of life who have managed to find purpose and meaning in the work that they do. While there is no one recipe that leads to success and work satisfaction, there are qualities that all successful people seem to have an abundance of, and one of those is motivation.When you think about the word 'motivation', what comes to mind? For me, it's anything that creates desire, and motivates someone to take action, whether it be the desire to own your own business, be the best in some sports competition or maybe attracting that special someone. If one were to ask you to name several highly motivated individuals, who would you name? While your list is likely to be much different from mine or anyone else's, one trait that they all share is a passion for what they do that provides all the motivation they require.What do you love to do? I mean what really gives you a charge, something that you have a passion for? One of my pleasures is playing guitar. When I sit down and proceed to make music, I become so enmeshed in the process that I tend to forget about time and my surroundings. When you have a passion for something, it's easy to be motivated. But what about the day to day things that we all must do, such as working at a job that doesn't always provide a lot of inspiration other than paying the bills. Are there things that we can do to help us create a greater sense of work satisfaction while experiencing an increase in motivation? One of the things that successful people do is they are able to look beyond the tasks that they perform, and are motivated to find or create meaning and purpose in the work that they do. When I was younger, I worked my share of tedious jobs such as landscaping, driving, factory work, etc. In the beginning, I found myself becoming bored quickly, and would leave a job as soon as I became tired of it. It wasn't until I discovered ways to make a job more interesting that I actually was able to enjoy them. For instance, I once worked for a medical lab, running routes and picking up specimens from Dialysis units. Going in and out of the units, I would see people with all sorts of health problems, in many cases people who are often at the last stage of their life. After a while, I started having conversations with some of the patients, and I found that I looked forward to seeing my regulars. I came to realize that they looked forward to our brief moments together as much as I did, and knowing that I was bringing just a slight bit of joy into their days gave me a sense of satisfaction and purpose that transcended the job that I performed. What about you? Is there some aspect of your job that you could use to create a greater sense of purpose and thus satisfaction? Are there things that you could do to make yourself more productive? If you get in the habit of looking for ways to improve things around you, you will not only experience greater work satisfaction, but you'll be looked upon as a positive, motivated individual that is an asset to any business or organization.When it comes to motivation, some will say that you either have it or you don't. While it's not always easy to feel motivated about many things in our life, the reality is that there are things that we can do to help create motivation. One of the most important things that we can do is just changing out attitude. Look for greater meaning or purpose in whatever it is that you are doing. As an unknown writer once said, "motivation comes from within". What motivates you?
